Cell Phones For Kids

Phones for kids, Kids phones, Kids cell phones, Kids cellphones, Cellphones for kids, Kids cell phone

This is a hotly debated subject and in reality, the industry is so new that I don’t think anyone knows the truth for sure. Our society has changed tremendously in the last 10 years with computers and cell phones becoming the norm and in that short time span enough to have conclusive numbers? Most likely not.

We now have a young generation that is growing up glued to a computer screen and with a cell phone to their ear. It is impossible to get a white collar job now without computer skills and a cell phone and many of us can’t remember our lives without all this new technology.

Computers are bad for the eyes and awful for the posture and we have heard thousands of stories about computer work related issues like carpel tunnel syndrome. A hundred years ago our injuries came from manual labor and trying to earn an honest living that way. Today, we are watching our bodies and eyes deteriorate as we sit hunched over staring at our laptops trying to make a living in the 21st century.

What About Cell Phones?

There has been lots of speculation and talk for years about the dangers of cell phones to both adults and children. You can find varying opinions on both sides and right now I really don’t think anyone knows the absolute truth. It is just too early for any studies to be conclusive.

In a nutshell though, there is research that suggests that radiation from cell phones might lower sperm count, damage DNA, contribute to memory loss, and even contribute to the likelihood of getting cancer and Alzheimer’s. It has also¬†been speculated that cell phones for kids can be more dangerous to them than to adults because they have developing skulls and brains. If cell phones are dangerous in any way, you as a parent probably want to hold off your child from getting one for as long as you can.

If you are a Mom or Dad that is wanting to learn more about the possible dangers of cell phones to you and your kids, you might look into ordering the book Disconnect from Devra Davis. This is a current book from September 2010 and a must read for anyone concerned about cell phone damage to our bodies.

You can find reviews of this book on Amazon and there are a few negative reviews along with the positive ones. Again, this shows that right now there is a lot of disagreement about whether cell phones are harmful to kids and adults.
